Whether you’re an incoming freshman, making your way through undergrad, or just about to graduate, you’ll want to take it all in and have the full experience! As the boutique management company with the best off-campus apartment rentals in town, Liberty Properties knows the Auburn area best. Check out our list below where we’ve compiled the top pre-graduation bucket list for Auburn University students!

1. Join A Student Organization

Auburn offers more than 600 student organizations, so you’re sure to find your fit! Joining an organization allows you to grow closer with peers outside your classes and enjoy networking opportunities. From the “Student Government Association” to the education group “For the Bees”, there are professional, cultural, fine art, greek, honors, religious, service, sports, and special interest organizations. If you join earlier in your college experience, you may even be able to work your way up to a leadership position!

2. Try the Best Local Eats

Corn nuggets from Niffers, dumplings from the Irritable Bao, a glass of Toomer’s lemonade… These are just a few highlights from the dozens of delicious local restaurants Auburn has to offer. With the recent establishment of the culinary residence “1856”, Southern Living said Auburn is “quickly becoming a culinary powerhouse.” You know you’ll miss all the mom-and-pop restaurants after you graduate, so don’t take them for granted while still in town. You can also plan to try out every campus restaurant with your dining dollars, especially the new Hey Day Market!

3. Ride Around Campus on a Rental

Auburn has partnered up with leading micro-mobility company Spin to offer electric bike and scooter transportation rentals on campus. These eco-friendly options are available for us from 5:00 am to midnight daily and cost $1 to rent and 30 cents per minute of use. Before graduation, grab a group of friends and make an evening of it riding through campus and remembering your freshman campus tour during Camp War Eagle!

4. Hike in Chewacla State Park

This scenic 696-acre state park is one you can’t miss during your time here. At Chewacla State Park, you can enjoy hiking trails and mountain biking, or rest and relaxation in a hammock with a waterfall view. It’s also pet-friendly, so feel free to take a dip with your dog in the 26-acre lake. For an additional nature option, you can check out the Donald E. Davis Arboretum.

5. See the Eagle Up Close

The famous War Eagle flight is a fantastic Auburn tradition, but were you aware you can actually see the eagles up close? The annual, family-friendly fall education series “Football, Fans, and Feathers” happens every Friday before home football games at Auburn University’s Southeastern Raptor Center. For the price of $8 per person, you can learn all about birds of prey, including hawks, falcons, and eagles, and watch as they fly from towers around the amphitheater. Trainers will also allow time for questions and up-close pictures with the raptors after the show. If you missed it in the fall, don’t worry because they offer a similar “Wing Fling” spring show!
